Shanghai-based Chinese steel giant Baosteel has announced that it has produced 35 mt of P91 pipe billet with diameter of over 600 mm by spindle-based manufacturing process at its special steel division.
P91 is a high-end steel used in high-pressure boiler tubes. In line with increasingly strict requirements from customers, Baosteel has finally developed P91 pipe billet with diameter in excess of 600 mm using the spindle-based process.
