Bahrain’s GIIC increases pellet output by 170 percent in H1

Bahrain-based Gulf Industrial Investment Co. (GIIC) increased its production of pellets in the first half of 2010 by 170 percent year on year to 2.49 million metric tons, Arab Steel has reported.
 
Meanwhile, in the first six months of this year GIIC improved its pellet exports by 132 percent to 2.7 million tons.
 
GIIC imports iron ores, the primary raw material, mainly from Brazil and exports pellets to the Persian Gulf region, India and Southeast Asia.
