In early December (December 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,846.5/mt ($463.6/mt), RMB 2,924.8/mt ($476.4/mt), RMB 3,013.6/mt ($490.8/mt), RMB 3,722.0/mt ($606.2/mt) and RMB 3,101.8/mt ($505.2/mt), down RMB 40.4/mt ($6.6mt), RMB 31.5/mt ($5.1/mt), RMB 7.4/mt ($1.2/mt), RMB 20.7/mt ($3.4/mt), and RMB 11.2/mt ($1.8/mt), indicating respective decreases of 1.4 percent, 1.1 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent compared to prices in late November (November 21-30), as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics on December 14.
Meanwhile, the price of 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet in China in early December was recorded at RMB 3,173.3/mt ($516.8/mt), up RMB 15.1/mt ($2.5/mt) or 0.5 percent compared to prices in late November.
