Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has started an exemption inquiry regarding the antidumping (AD) duties on galvanized steel imports from China, South Korea and Taiwan and the countervailing duties (CVD) imposed on the same imports from China.

The exemption has been requested by the Australian producer Bluescope Steel (AIS) Pty Ltd for the goods under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7210.49.00.

The antidumping and countervailing duties were initially imposed on the steel imports in question on August 5, 2013.
