Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has initiated a review regarding the antidumping (AD) duty on imports of certain zinc coated (galvanized) steel exported to Australia from China, South Korea and Taiwan to examine whether the variable factors relevant to the taking of the antidumping measures as they affect exporters of the goods from China, South Korea and Taiwan generally should be varied. The antidumping duties were originally imposed in August 2013, with dumping margins ranging between 2.6 percent and 62.9 percent for the three countries.
The products subject to antidumping review currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210, 7210.4, 7212, 7225, 7225.9, 7226 and 7226.9.
In addition, the commission has also started a review regarding the antidumping (AD) duty on imports on certain aluminum zinc coated steel, falling under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210 and 7210.6, exported to Australia from China and South Korea, limited to examining whether the variable factors relevant to the taking of the antidumping measures as they affect exporters of the goods from China and South Korea generally should be varied. These antidumping duties were also originally imposed in August 2013, with dumping margins ranging between 5.8 percent and 19.3 percent for the two countries.
