Australia extends AD duty probe on galvanized steel ex-India, Vietnam

Australia's Antidumping Commission has announced that it has extended its antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding galvanized steel imports from Vietnam and India by two months. The final decision will be announced no later than May 17, 2015.
 
The antidumping duty investigation launched in July 2014 following the petition by Australian steelmaker BlueScope Steel covers the period between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014.
 
The products subject to duty investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210.49.00, 7212.30.00, 7225.92.00 and 7226.99.00. Products classified under 7210.49.00 and 7212.30.00 are duty free, while goods classified under 7225.92.00 and 7226.99.00 are subject to four percent customs duty.
