Atlas Iron sees record iron ore shipment in December quarter

Australian iron ore miner Atlas Iron has announced that it shipped a record 2.7 million wet metric tons of iron ore in the quarter ended on December 31 despite cyclone impacts late in December, up 54.3 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year. During July-December, Atlas Iron's iron ore shipments amounted to 5.1 million mt.

Atlas stated that its full production guidance for the financial year 2013-14 stands at 10.2-10.7 million mt.
