Steelmaking giant ArcelorMittal has announced that it will invest more than €100 million in its plants in the Asturias region of northern Spain (its "Asturias Cluster") to meet new market needs and improve product quality, reliability of its facilities and its competitive position.
Most of the investment will focus on improving industrial and logistic processes, modernization of facilities and optimization of energy supplies. ArcelorMittal said that, as a result, the Asturias Cluster will be ready to better serve its customers in its key products such as tinplate, rail, wire rod and plate.
