Arcelor to increase investment in Poland

Luxembourg-based steel producer Arcelor plans to invest Euro 80 million in its Warsaw subsidiary Huta Warszawa. “We have started the construction of a rolling mill” said Roland Junck, the vice president of Arcelor. The investment will cost about Euro 50 million and will be launched next year. Arcelor said that they would spend Euro 124 million by 2008 apart from the Euro 77 million they spent on taking over Huta Warszawa.
