Luxembourg-headquartered global stainless steel producer Aperam SA has announced that it has signed a financing contract for an amount of €50 million with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance a research and development program over the 2016-19 period as well as the upgrade of two plants located respectively at Isbergues in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France and at Châtelet in the Belgian province of Hainaut. This project was funded under the Investment Plan for Europe of which France is one of the main beneficiary countries.
