Ansteel exports 15,000 mt of steel rails to Thailand

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Anshan Iron and Steel Co. (Anshan Steel or Ansteel) has announced that by October 26 it fully delivered an order for 15,000 mt of steel rails to Bayuquan Port in Liaoning, ready for shipment to Thailand.

Due to the slowdown of current railway construction activity in China, Ansteel is facing a big challenge as regards managing its production. In August this year, Ansteel received an inquiry for BS100A steel rails from Thailand and after negotiations eventually signed a contract for 15,000 mt.

Ansteel has previously supplied steel rails, one of its main products, to Australia, Vietnam, Bengal, and other destinations.
