Anglo American expects stable iron ore output at its Minas-Rio site in Brazil for the next few years, the company said this week. The Minas-Rio project includes a 529-km-long (328-mile-long) pellet feed-transporting slurry pipeline.

Anglo American said the Minas-Rio site should produce about 23 million mt of iron ore in 2019. In 2020, Minas-Rio iron ore production should reach between 22 and 24 million mt, and then 24-26 million mt in 2021. As for 2022, the iron ore output guidance should reach the 23-25 million mt range.

Anglo American said the forecasted iron ore production figures for the Minas-Rio project assumes the company will obtain its final tailings license by the end of 2019.
