Andritz to supply new cold rolling mill for Shougang Jingtang in China

Austria-based international plant and equipment supplier Andritz has announced that it will supply a new cold rolling mill to Chinese steelmaker Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. The plant will be designed to process high-strength steel grades with an annual capacity of 280,000 mt.

According to Andritz, the cold rolling mill will be designed with particular focus on production volume, strip shape and strip thickness tolerances to manufacture products of highest quality. Production of the first coil is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
