Alchevsk production in June
Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk) reported that its production of crude steel rose 1.3 percent and that of pig iron rose 0.9 percent month on month to 327,200 tons and to 260,000 tons respectively in June of 2006. However, Alchevsk's production of finished steel products decreased 4.3 percent during the same period.
