AK Steel Dearborn to close permanently

AK Steel’s mill in Dearborn, Michigan will close in July due to “rapidly deteriorating business conditions,” according to local news reports.

The company sent the state a WARN notice this week, indicating 343 workers will be laid off beginning July 5.
