AK Steel announces November surcharges

According to the statement released by Middletown-based AK Steel, the company will lower the surcharge on flat rolled carbon steel products to $149 per ton effective for shipments as of November 1, 2004. The surcharge indicates a decrease of $8 per ton when compared with the October surcharge of $157 per ton. Moreover, the surcharge on electrical steel products will be decreased to $250 per ton effective for shipments as of November 1, 2004. October surcharge for the subject product was $295 per ton.
