AK Steel announces March surcharges

According to the statement released by Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel, the company will apply a raw material surcharge of $214 per ton on its flat rolled carbon steel products for shipments in March 2005. This amount indicates an increase of $18 per ton from February surcharge of $196 per ton. Moreover, the surcharge on electrical steel products shipped in March will be decreased by $70 per ton to $340 per ton against the February surcharge of $410 per ton.
