AK Steel announces lower June surcharge

Major US flat rolled producer AK Steel had advised its customers that a $193 /nt surcharge will be added to June shipments of its flat rolled products, and a $210 /nt surcharge will be added to shipments of its electrical steel products. The $190 /nt surcharge represents no change from AK's flat rolled surcharge for May shipments, and the company's $210 /nt surcharge for electrical products is $5 /nt lower than its May surcharge. AK Steel's June surcharges are based on April purchase costs for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products.
