AK Steel announces February surcharges

According to the statement released by Middletown-based steel producer AK Steel, the company will apply a raw material surcharge of $196 per ton on its flat rolled carbon steel products for shipments in February 2005. This amount indicates a decrease of $9 per ton from January's surcharge of $205 per ton. Moreover, the surcharge on electrical steel products shipped in February will be increased by $10 per ton to $410 per ton against the January surcharge.
