Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) was awarded multiple certifications in a single audit process, the company said this week. AHMSA said SGS evaluated the company’s new integrated system for quality, which the steelmaker uses since last year.

AHMSA said the “integrated” certification was awarded to the company’s hot rolling mill department. The certification covers the quality, environmental protection, safety and labor health areas.

The certification has a three-year timeline. SGS will also perform annual audits during such a period, AHMSA said.
