58.4% of big road and waterway projects in China resume construction

As of February 29, 564 road and waterway projects under construction in China with total planned investments exceeding RMB 1.0 billion have resumed construction, accounting for 58.4 percent of such projects in China, as announced by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT). In particular, among the projects, the resumption rates of construction work on high-speed road, national and provincial road, and water transport projects were 73.2 percent, 47.6 percent and 48.1 percent, respectively.

As of March 1, 28 provinces in China have resumed interprovincial and intra-provincial road passenger transportation. Meanwhile, 550 cities in China have continued to provide full bus services, and 36 cities out of 41 cities have resumed normal operation of their rail traffic.
