500,000 mt of dated steel capacity to be eliminated in Yunnan in 2012

The Industry and Information Technology Commission of China's Yunnan Province has stated that the elimination targets for backward or outdated production capacities in the metallurgical industry in the province in 2012 include 200,000 mt of annual iron production capacity, 500,000 mt of annual steelmaking capacity, 2.45 million mt of annual coke output capacity and 36,000 mt of annual ferroalloy production capacity.
