Zimasco is a chrome smelting company establihed in 1972 as a Union Carbide operations with chrome mines in the mineral rich Zimbabwe Great Dyke. The company produces seleable high carbon ferrochrome to international markets in the Far East USA and Europe. The company employees 4500 people in total in both mining and smelting business. The company generates a lot of scrap from its operations and has been selling this to middleman
