Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) is an electrical utility that purchases transformers (high voltage) using M4 M6 laminated silicon steel cores. My interest is in metal pricing history only with the occasional exception of the sale of scrap transformer cores. GTC buys only from qualified high voltage (46kV to 500kV) power transformer manufacturers and does not purchase steel directly. GTC occasionally will sell core steel scrap to resale or scrap metal buyers
