Akmetal Iron and Steel Foundry was established in 1963 in Istanbul, as the fifth steel foundry in Turkey. The company flourished in the rapidly expanding local market of those years to become a leading supplier of quality steel castings in the country. The melt shop has total of 13 tons of molten metal capacity and can cast parts up to 9 tons net weight in most types of steel alloys.
