Overview

Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASML), a Joint-Venture between blue-chip Pakistani and Japanese business groups, namely Arif Habib Group, Metal One Corporation Japan (part of Mitsubishi Corporation Japan) and Universal Metal Corporation Japan, is in the final stages of completing a state-of-the-art Cold Roll Coil (CRC) complex with an initial capacity of over 220,000 mt/yr. Arif Habib Group (www.arifhabib.com.pk) is one of the largest conglomerates in Pakistan, Metal One Corporation (www.mtlo.co.jp) is the world’s largest steel trading company, which is majority (60%) owned by Mitsubishi Corporation Japan (www.mitsubishicorp.com) and 40% owned by Sojitz Corporation Japan (www.sojitz.com) and a renowned metal trading company Universal Metal Corporation Japan (www.universalmetal.jp), thereby making ASML part of the finest global and domestic companies. ASML is in the final stages of erection at a 50 acres industrial plot in the Downstream Industrial Estate, Pakistan Steel Mills, Port Qasim. It is using 100% brand new machinery from world’s renowned machinery manufacturers such as Steel Plantech Company, Japan (www.steelplantech.co.jp). ASML is getting its annealing furnaces from world’s no.1 producer of industrial furnaces namely Ebner, Austria (www.ebner.cc). It is the only CRC manufacturer in Pakistan which is using Japanese machinery for all of its main processes and therefore, will be able to produce best quality CRC in the Country.
