Tokyo Steel raises its scrap buying prices in Japan

According to sources, Tokyo Steel has continued its upward trend by increasing scrap prices again in early December. The Tahara site has continually purchased scrap at prices above average while the Utsunomiya and Okayama sites are closer, but slightly higher compared to the average H2 scrap domestic prices recently published by SteelOrbis.

Delivered prices at its three sites are in the table below. The latest increase represents an increase of JPY 1000/mt for Utsunomiya and JPY 500/mt at other sites.
