The Italian market for seamless pipes has moved on a stable trend amid moderate demand after the summer holidays. The situation in the key seamless pipe user sectors like machine building, construction and commercial vehicles has remained weak. Over the past month, domestic and export seamless pipe prices in Italy have not been revised. It is expected that the seamless pipe market in Italy will likely remain in suspense due to lackluster demand, lower raw material prices and subdued sentiment in the region.

Current domestic prices for Italian seamless pipes of 2"-6" size as per ASTM or EN are at about €980-1,020/mt ($1,107-1,153/mt) ex-works.

Export quotations of Italian seamless pipes of 2"-6" Sch 40 of grade B as per ASTM A106 are at around €1,000-1,050/mt ($1,130-1,187/mt) FOB.

€1 = $1.13
