Amid the limited demand in both domestic and international markets, Turkish pipe producers have kept their offer prices stable week on week. Even if the scrap market continues to rise, the pipe producers believe that the trend cannot affect the hollow section market since demand provides no support and shows no signs of recovery. Meanwhile, due to poor sales, several pipe producers have offered lower prices in order to attract more customers.
According to reports, prices in the local hollow section (HS) market are at $620-640/mt ex-works, in line with prices at the end of last week.
However, according to sources, some producers aim to provide discounts and attract the attention of buyers, and, while smaller-sized producers are offering at approximately $610/mt ex-works, larger pipe producers are offering at $570-580/mt ex-works.
In the export market, HS prices are at about $610-630/mt FOB, which is the same as in the previous week.
