Local Chinese steel pipe prices stable or fluctuate slightly

Local Chinese steel pipe prices have moved sideways or fluctuated by small margins during the past week.

Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have followed a stable trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has remained weak since demand has not recovered yet. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate minor fluctuations.

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have fluctuated by small margins during the past week. Overall trading activity is still poor. Some traders in the southern market have chosen to reduce their quoted prices in order to close more deals. But since upstream steel strip prices recently increased slightly, most welded pipe traders have followed suit. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may fluctuate slightly.
