Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have followed a stable trend during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been sluggish. Upstream billet prices have indicated a soft trend, exerting pressure on seamless pipe prices. However, most traders have chosen to hold their quoted prices stable considering the low levels of market inventory. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may see a mostly stable trend.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have also followed a slightly reduce trend during the past week. Overall trading activity has been slack due to the off-season. Prices of steel strip and most raw materials have been characterized by weak trends, causing welded pipe traders to cut their prices by small margins. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may continue to soften slightly.
