Overall trading activity has remained at a low level due to the off-season. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate small fluctuations.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have moved on a slight downtrend during the past week. Overall trading activity is still weak. On the upstream side, steel strip prices have just indicated minor fluctuations. Due to the off-season, demand has continued to slacken especially in southern China, exerting pressure on welded pipe prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may follow a slightly soft trend.
