Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have mostly moved up by small margins during the past seven days, supported by upticks in billet prices. Overall trading activity has improved slightly and is considered to be at normal levels. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may edge up again by small margins as demand continues to improve.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have indicated minor increases during the past week, amid support from rises in prices of steel strip and raw materials. Overall trading activity is still on the weak side. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may continue to indicate small increases.
