Local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly either moved sideways or down slightly during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have mostly followed a stable trend during the past seven days, though some small upticks have also been seen. Overall trading activity has generally remained weak, though it has improved in a few areas causing some small rises in prices in those areas. The general trend, however, has been sideways, supported also by the minor fluctuations seen in billet prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may just indicate small fluctuations.

Local Chinese welded pipe prices have mainly indicated small decreases in the past week, with most traders choosing to cut their prices slightly ahead of the year-end. Overall trading activity has been weak. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may just fluctuate slightly.
