The local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly continued their declining trend during the past week.

Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have moved sideways or down slightly during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been weak amid large fluctuations in raw material prices. The demand side has mainly been maintaining a wait-and-see stance and some traders have chosen to cut their quoted prices by small margins in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may indicate a further minor softening.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have continued to soften slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has been at normal levels. Most traders have been willing to offer lower prices in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may move down by a small margin.
