Downticks have been seen in billet prices, exerting some pressure on seamless pipe prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices could soften by small margins.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have increased slightly during the past week, supported by prices of steel strip which have been fluctuating at high levels. Overall trading activity has been at normal levels. However, recent declines in raw material prices may influence welded pipe prices during the coming week. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may soften slightly.
