Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have softened slightly in most parts of the country during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has slackened a little and is considered to be at normal levels. Most traders have cut their quoted prices by small margins in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering the approach of the Labor Day holiday and that demand may improve, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may rebound slightly.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have moved sideways or up slightly during the past week, supported by upticks in prices of steel strip and other raw materials. Overall trading activity has been at normal levels. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may indicate minor fluctuations.
