Local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly continued to indicate slight decline during the past week.
Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have mainly moved down by small margins during the past seven days. Overall trading activity has still been at low levels. Upstream billet prices have just indicated small fluctuations, providing some support for seamless pipe prices, but most traders chose to slightly reduce their quoted prices in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may follow a stable trend or move down by small margins.
Chinese welded pipe prices have moved sideways or down slightly during past week. Overall trading activity has remained weak. Even though prices of steel strip and other raw materials have edged up slightly, many traders have chosen to slightly reduce their quoted prices for welded pipes in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may indicate slight fluctuations.
