Order activity and inquiries within the US domestic API X-42 ERW line pipe market have trended quiet this week as many people within the US domestic steel industry have taken the last two weeks of December off due to the holiday season.

Futures offer prices from Korean and Taiwanese producers continue to trend in the approximate range of $25.50-$26.50 cwt. ($562-$586/mt or $510-$530/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf Coast ports while US domestic spot market offers are still holding in the approximate range of $45.00-$46.00 cwt. ($992-$1,014/mt or $900-$920/nt), ex-Midwest mill, although as with last week, deals below this range are available to anyone who is interested in placing a larger-sized order.
