Prices for seamless pipes imported into Saudi Arabia have mostly declined over the past month as demand has continued to weaken ahead of Ramadan which will start on June 18. Ukrainian suppliers have cut their seamless pipe offers for Saudi Arabia by $20-30/mt over the past month, while quotations of Chinese pipes have decreased by around $50/mt during the same period. Import offers of South African materials have increased by a maximum of $25/mt. Buying activity is expected to slacken further in Saudi Arabian seamless pipe market due to the coming offseason for steel consumption.
Most offers of Chinese seamless pipes of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM are being given to the Saudi Arabian market at $550-585/mt CFR.
Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes (Interpipe) of 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L to Saudi Arabia are at $880-920/mt CFR, while 8"-10" pipes are offered at around $900-950/mt CFR.
South African seamless pipes (ArcelorMittal), 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, are quoted at around $975-1,000/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.
Quotations from Italy for seamless pipes of 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are at about $1,285-1,320/mt CFR Saudi Arabia.
