At present, export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $560-650/mt FOB, while export offers for API 5L welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $505-535/mt FOB, September shipment.

During the given week, rising iron ore and billet prices provided solid support to steel pipe prices, while it was hard for sellers to sell their resources, resulting in increasing inventory level on traders’ side. However, the bullish sentiments prevailed among market players amid optimistic attitude towards prospect for the Chinese financial market.
Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 3,746/mt ($535/mt) on July 15, up RMB 44/mt ($6.3/mt) or 1.2 percent from July 8.
