During the given week, demand from downstream users has not recovered in line with market players’ expectations, while the rising trend of ferrous metal futures prices has provided some support for steel pipe prices. Activity in the export market has been slack due to the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide.

Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 3,373/mt ($479/mt) on April 15, up RMB 129/mt ($18.3/mt) or 4.0 percent from April 8.
