During the given week, steel pipe prices have moved on an overall uptrend amid the supply shortages caused by production restrictions. Ahead of the long National Day holiday (October 1-7), some stock replenishment has been anticipated from downstream users, which has bolstered steel pipe prices. It is thought that steel pipe prices will move sideways in the coming week.

Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 5,657/mt ($875/mt) on September 29, up RMB 1/mt ($0.15/mt), almost remaining stable from September 22.
