The local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly seen slight declines during the past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have fluctuated with slight declines during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak amid off-season and hot weather. Upstream billet prices saw slight downtrend which lead certain traders to follow. As for the week ahead, considering weak demand, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue to fluctuate with small decreases.

Chinese welded pipe prices have seen slight declines during the past week. Upstream steel strip and other raw material prices have fluctuated with downtrend which mainly cause welded pipe prices to follow. Overall trading activity has been weak which lead traders to be mostly willing to offer certain discounts in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering that the support from cost side is getting weak, it is believed that welded pipe prices may follow a slight downtrend.
