US Northeast March scrap prices settled $20/gt higher on continued reports of limited but better inventory at local mills and suppliers. Prices for March scrap started monthly supply negotiations as high as $35/gt over February values, though continued rising scrap prices offered to sub-collectors increased local scrap supply, trimming later monthly offers from domestic mills, market insiders told SteelOrbis.
