Two Turkish mills cut their domestic scrap purchase prices

Thursday, 22 April 2021 14:34:12 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Today, April 22, two integrated Turkish mills have decreased their domestic scrap purchase prices by TRY 30/mt or $7-8/mt, depending on the grade. While other mills have kept their prices stable in the local currency, their dollar-based prices have declined by $1-4/mt due to the Turkish lira losing strength against major currencies.

The general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has remained unchanged at TRY 2,950-3,730/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have moved down from the range of $361-456/mt to $357-452/mt.
