Two ex-US scrap deals to Turkey, prices on sideways trend

SteelOrbis has been informed that transactions for two ex-US scrap cargoes to be exported via New Orleans have been concluded in Turkey.
 
Accordingly, a Turkish mill has concluded a booking for an ex-US scrap cargo composed of 25,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at $385.50/mt CFR, 10,000 mt of shredded scrap at $390.50/mt CFR and 5,000 mt of P&S scrap at the price level of $395.50/mt CFR.
 
In the second deal, the same Turkish mill has concluded a booking of an ex-US scrap cargo composed of 10,000 mt of HMS I/II scrap at $381/mt CFR and 25,000 mt of shredded scrap at $386/mt CFR.
 
Prices in ex-New Orleans cargoes are $3/mt higher than other ex-East Coast port prices. Price levels have been following a sideways trend since last week.
