Turkish ship scrap prices rise in line with deep sea segment

Having remained stable since November 11, Turkey’s ship scrap purchase prices have finally increased following the sharp rises observed in the deep sea scrap segment.

Some steelmakers in Turkey’s Izmir region have increased their quotations by $5/mt today, November 20. As a result, general range has settled at $275-300/mt with Cebitas representing the lower end. Before today’s revisions, prices were in the range of $275-295/mt.
