Having changed its trend during the current week, the Turkish ship scrap market has indicated a slight increase in terms of prices on the upper end. One mill in Turkey’s Izmir region has raised its ship scrap purchase quotations by $5/mt today, March 26, while the other producers have decided to keep their prices stable. Cebitas has not returned to the market. As a result, the general range of prices in the Turkish ship scrap market is now at $380-390/mt, $5/mt higher as compared to yesterday.
