Turkish ship scrap market increases further

As anticipated by SteelOrbis, the Turkish ship scrap market has continued its increasing trend. Three of the Izmir-based Turkish mills have raised their ship scrap purchase quotations by $5-10/mt today, February 26. As a result, the general range of ship scrap purchase quotations in Turkey has increased from $400-410/mt to $405-415/mt. The rises in the Turkish ship scrap market are in line with the uptrend in the deep sea scrap segment.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
